Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story. ~Josh Shipp
Kinship of Tomahawk was established as a result of the community roundtable held by Tomahawk Together on February 14, 1997. At the end of the roundtable, a youth mentoring program and family resource center were the top two needs determined by the community.
On Sunday, December 8, 2024 Kinship of Tomahawk held the annual Christmas party at Inshalla Country Club. This event is such an important part of the Christmas Season at Kinship. The KinsKids and Mentors chose gifts and wrapped them for the KinsKids’ families, decorated Christmas cookies, wrote Christmas cards for residents in local assisted living homes, chose a gift for their teacher and had a tasty pizza lunch. And, at the end of the afternoon Santa arrived and handed out a gift for each of the KinsKids.
This event is a spectacular example of the generosity of Tomahawk and the surrounding communities. Thank you to everyone that contributed by choosing a KinsKids off of one of the local giving trees, for the donors that donated items for the KinsKids shop, cookies, gift wrap and so much more. Kinship of Tomahawk greatly appreciates all of the local support that make this event such a success!
